Passed Inspection today --

We passed the plumbing drain line, water supply, and in ground electric inspections today -- goodie, we can fill the trenches in before the rain gets here!

Water line running

Here's the water line trench my dad dug for us yesterday from the corner of the future garage to the tank. The water is in the line right now under pressure to test it all out

I am SO thankful that dad dug this trench instead of me! I wouldn't have been able to get out of bed today!

The tank for our well is located in that little piece of the workshop that sticks out right beside that window-- it is like 250 gallons...it is big!

Master Bath

We will have a nice airjet tub on the left, a nice corner shower to the right, and separate sinks...can't you see it?

Guest bath

You're looking at nice shower, toilet, and sink near the garage enterance of the house -- great for guests, pool swimmers, don't you want to use it?

Also that grey PVC over on the left is the electricity coming into the house.

This weekend

We got the plumbing drain lines all in the ground and filled them up for the "pressure test" so hopefully it won't rain buckets tonight and it will pass inspection tomorrow...if it rains and fills up all the trenches I guess it will wait! today's photos are from the back of the house

We got the top board up all the way around the main house...we'll pour the slab separate for the three porches and garage -- Thought you could use an update now that it looks like we did something!

Now we have to get the plumbing in there so we can cover it up, rebar it all & pour!

April 19th 2008 - Framing up the forms for foundation

Getting the first couple of boards set for the framing for the foundation -- We got several more placed today -- I'll take more photos tomorrow.

Lots more trenches for plumbing to go in the slab -- and also hubbie dug out the area for the garage and started filling it back in with the sandy clay fill -- also here's a shot of the workshop

Doesn't look like too much so far, but it is a lot of work getting all of that "dirt" just right before you pour on the foundation concrete for that giant slab...

just a little closer to the house...you can see the long strip on the front is the porch...

i also just noticed that this is the first time I've caught a piece of our current residence (that tiny trailer!) in the background -- now you know why we are so excited about getting into this house!
