Bay Window Roof - Closeup

My hubbie is very proud of the work he has done on this bay window double hip roof -- there are a lot of pieces with a lot of angles -- and it has really turned out looking great! Here are two shots of it as best I can capture from the ground.

Also, more boards are put on the bay window roof...what a headache it is turning out to be -- also the weather is autrocious...who wants to work when every night it is 20 degrees...come on!

Work on the Back Roof

My husband got the rest of the chimney up on Saturday and then on Sunday my husband put in the "cricket" on the back of the chimney (or the front depending on how you look at it) -- now the daunting task of the roof over the bay window begins...it is a lot of math involved!

You can see on the picture to the right that we still have to build the roof over the bay window, but the majority of the house doesn't get wet now that the tar paper is on there...Still have to get that chimney built too, that is why the scaffold is right there in the middle on the back

Now he has to build a roof over the bay window over the play room. Also, a dormer on the front and the chimney before putting on the shingles.

Happy New Year - Sheathing going on back roof

Happy New Year, we are out here in the 30 degree weather putting the sheathing on the back roof of the two story portion of the house...I, the wife, actually am lifting the wood up to my hubbie and helping him get into place in spite of my absolute horror at being 20 feet in the air. (That's not me in the picture, nobody ever takes pictures of me when I help!) Check out the gorgeous blue sky we have today...so pretty.
