Close to receiving the "Certificate of Occupancy"

Pretty much waiting on the man who is making our handrails to move in.  We will apply for our "CO" or certificate of occupancy from the county.  This is the document that states that your house is safe enough to occupy.  Ironman said maybe 3 weeks. I had really been hoping for 1 week, but you can't have a two story porch on the front of the house without railings...insurance company (& county inspector) is not interested in insuring without them!

Painting the last of the interior trim boards

Help! Aliens have invaded my yard! Here my hubbie is, on father's day, painting what we hope is the last set of trim boards we will need to finish up the house. MAJOR excitement that he won't have to don this tyvek suit in the 90 degree weather again (at least until we paint the interior doors!).
